With the help of the National Lottery Heritage Fund we have been able to undertake a series of Heritage related events and activities during 2023 and 2024.

This project was undertaken for the Work Placement course in the Architectural History and Heritage undergraduate degree at Edinburgh College of Art, University of Edinburgh over the second semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The students, Kara Bohn and Annie Dallas Burt, were under the supervision of Dr John Lowery, Senior Lecturer in Architectural History.

Whilst Gracemount Mansion House was not open GMDT took the opportunity to take part in the Civic Trust Doors open weekend of 23rd and 24th September 2023.

As part of our Heritage Programme, 'A feast of stories' was delivered on a cold winters day by local storyteller Jane Mather who was inspired by the power of food, stories and the warmth of a fire to connect us all, as has been done since early times.

Gracemount Mansion hosted an afternoon of South Asian music and dance with live music. The dance performance was stunning and the audience were able to participate in an Asian dance workshop which was open to all ages and abilities.
